Lets first meet the judges:

Joe Galluzo: Joe is just the kind of guy that you would want for a judge, a head judge even. He is an amazing, stand up kind of guy. Joe overcame a challenge this past year that makes our 12 week challenge look easy. He is an extremely strong, motivated individual and I am honored to have him as a client and friend!

Maurice vaillancourt: What can I say. MO is a natural PRO bodybuilder. He knows what it takes to get into top physical condition. Mo trains with intensity that would make Wolverine cry! Even with his great success he is still a humble guy. Mo is the best friend anyone could ask for. I knew he would look at this contest very seriously and vote for what he believes!

Joel Preston: I only know Joel from the forums. We have spoken on the phone a couple times. Plenty of texting advice back and forth..  Joel is a VERY good guy! Another humble giant. This guy is a monster in the gym. At 48 years of age, Joel has a better physique than most 19 year olds!!! He is always there to lend a helping hand and always has a positive attitude.

Dawn butterfield: GEEEEEEEZ what an athlete!!! Dawn is the epitome of fitness. If you could only see her perform. Sends chills up your spine. AMAZING!! She is also the sweetest person you could ever meet. We love Dawn. She is a HUGE inspiration to the fitness industry.

Kandee Newell: Another wonderful person. Kandee, I have known for years. We spent some time working together as trainers. Kandee is a great all around person with many attributes. She is extremely intelligent, motivated, caring, compassionate, professional and positive. Kandee is one of those people who can do anything. She is a GREAT friend. Gotta love her

Jen Robitaille: We all know Jen and we know why she is a judge.

Joe Galluzo:

How to choose? What mark of distinction was exhibited that placed one contestant above the others? Talk about a dilemma. I thought being a judge would be a “piece of cake” (a protein cake, of course!), but in trying to be honest and open minded, I have labored in making my choice.

All three contestants have done extraordinary things in 12 weeks. All have met the goals established. All worked hard. All have changed, both physically and mentally. All look wonderful, and sound confident. They have built an inner wellness that is portrayed in their photos and in their words.

As I read and re-read the essays, and reflected upon the words of each of the finalists, I kept picturing one of the three. Beginning in self-doubt, this individual grew in confidence and self-awareness, and persevered, and displayed what many of us elderly folk learn over time (certainly not our teen years) –that good things come from hard work, dedication, patience and perseverance.

While I congratulate all participants, and especially the finalists, Eileen and Rick, I believe Andrew displayed the uniqueness I was looking for.

MO:

Randy, being in the great (read:crazy) world of bodybuilding for many years, you and I have seen a lot of transformations... but I'm sure you'll agree with me that these 3 are some of the best 12 weeks transformations! So please, make sure Rick, Andrew and Eileen know that they all truly, truly impressed me... and you too Randy... you simply are THE BEST P.T. I have ever meet! And I have meet more than 126

My criterias for this challenge were

1) For sure, the physique transformation! The WOW factor of the visual aspect...

2) How dedicated to it they have been during this journey! Some can see results more easily, but dedication cant lie!

3) The impact it's going to make on their long term life. In my opinion, to get a long term healty lifestyle is the main idea challenges like that.

4) Learnings! Did they try to understand and do they try to positively influence poeple around them!

So my choice would be Andrew! He stands out in every criterias I'm looking for!

Once again, I think that you also deserve some credit Randy, so thanks for making such a positive difference in the life of your clients and friends!

Mo

Kandee:

Hi Randy,

I hope it's not too late for my contest selection!

First of all, I'm going to repeat something you're also saying to these folks, these people are all already winners for making a commitment to their goals and for working so hard to improve their health and well being.

I know how charged you must be to have been able to inspire them and be a big part of their journey. I can never brag enough about what an amazing trainer (and person) you are. They're lucky to have you on their side and even shouting in their ears!

This was a tough one because they all met and even exceeded their goals. The before and after photos were amazing. I took the whole package into consideration: the physical improvements, how well they expressed their journey in essay form and who experienced the biggest personal transformation overall.

Drum roll.....
......
......
......

My pick for winner is.....
.....
Eileen!

Besides exceeding her goals, she showed some serious discipline in staying on her diet and exercise routine even on vacation! That's tough! What's also tough (not being a spring chicken myself) is making such a physical transformation as a mature (non-20-something) female. I think Eileen will make an outstanding example of what is possible (even if you're initially reluctant to take on such a challenge).

Again, this was a really difficult decision as I think they all did an amazing job, worked so hard and really expressed some great fortitude. Honestly, I would be happy for whoever ends up "winning."

Thanks for soliciting me for this contest. Reminds me of why being a PT is so rewarding.

Hope we catch up again soon!

Kandee

Dawn:

Randy-
Well I'm inspired after reading those 3 essays! My vote goes to Eileen! I was most impressed w/her photos & the fact that she had another major goal, 1/2 marathon and it wasn't solely about body image! Andrew impressed me also not only for his pics but for taking responsibility for his own results by doing additional learning & research on his own. I like how he got his family & friends involved in healthy eating & exercise habits, we all know results like these are difficult if not impossible w/out a good support system. Rick's transformation was amazing as well Im sure he'll never look back. Im thinking he's inspiring many of his friends right about now.
You are an incredible motivator, you are changing lives for the better. Congrats on s successful challenge!
Dawn~

Joel:

Wow! Its tough to choose between the 3 finalists! I have to go with Eileen though, she over came a lot and I know it's tough for a woman to make such a transformation in such a short period of time.

Her after photos really are stunning to say the least! But like I said all three really did a great job and you should really be proud of them for changing their lives in a positive way!

Jen:

Let me start by congratulating each of these individuals. All three finalists all exceeded their goals, worked hard and proved to themselves and others that hard work really can payoff. Most importantly they’ve motivated others to do the same – to live a confident and healthy lifestyle and that is exactly what it is a lifestyle and that is why I choose Rick as the winner. He has completely changed his life from fried food and beer to lean meats and protein shakes and from going through the motions of working out to working hard and always pushing it to the next level and WOW does it show in his photos. What a transformation! Congratulations

Myself:

BOY what a tough choice. All 3 did everything in their power to get this done. I am VERY impressed and proud of each of them. AMAZING work! They took this challenge to the EXTREME! Not a day goes by that I don't use one of them as an example of what can be done when one puts their mind to it! You are ALL such an inspiration to everyone that knows you. Probably more so than you think. Heck, I am inspired by all of you to better myself. I feel the need to thank each of you. You make my a job a most rewarding experience. You are the reasons I do what I do. so THANK YOU! Please continue to improve and inspire!

With all that being said, I have to vote for one and only one. Although all of you went over the top, my vote is going to have to go with Rick. He has dramatically changed his life forever. What a turn around. Not only did he greatly help himself, but now he cant stop helping others. He is constantly looking for a way to make this whole thing easier for others to accomplish. He touches a different person everyday. Rick is now even more focused than ever to move forward. he is NOT falling off the wagon which is VERY impressive, knowing Rick. He has already set up his next 3 month challenge, which I am sure he will excel past whatever goals he ever dreamed of reaching! He's got the EYE OF THE TIGER! Anyway, without babbling all night long, RICK GETS MY VOTE!

Now, Eileen and Pokey, please do not be upset with my choice. You are both AMAZING people and you both deserve the best in life. I cant explain how proud I am of each of you. Your progress makes my VERY happy. I LOVE IT! Eileen running 10 MILES, Are you kidding me!?!? You know that you can accomplish anything you wish Eileen. you have the power! Pokey, my great friend, you have changed your life on so many levels its amazing. Your future is your PRIZE my man!! Keep your eye on it!

Once again. THANK YOU for all your efforts. I appreciate what the 3 of you did more than you could ever imagine!!!!!
